Pediatric Services

Triangle Ophthalmology is pleased to offer pediatric ophthalmic services to our community.  Rachel Tesser, MD is Chapel Hill’s only pediatric ophthalmologist working in a private practice setting. A pediatric ophthalmologist is a medical doctor (M.D.) who has completed additional training to recognize and diagnose disease in children.  A pediatric ophthalmologist has completed at least four years of medical school, one year of internship, three years of ophthalmology specialty training, and one or two years of training dedicated to diagnosis and treatment of pediatric disease.
